Texas’ Famous Alligator Boots is Now a Proud Parent

Texas’ favorite alligator, Boots, has recently become a proud father at Gator Country in Beaumont. Owner Gary Saurage shared that Boots has been bonding with Blossom, an 8-foot female alligator, after they were relocated earlier this year. Blossom laid a total of 31 eggs, and as of Thursday, four baby alligators have already hatched. Gator Country is monitoring the eggs to see if more hatchlings will emerge. The newborns will initially stay in a nursery before moving to individual aquariums. As they grow, they’ll transition to larger tubs and eventually to outdoor ponds, where they’ll be housed by size to prevent larger alligators from preying on the smaller ones. Boots and Blossom continue to spend quality time together at Gator Country.
