Joe Lycett shared his initial concerns about not getting along with certain contestants on the upcoming series of The Celebrity Traitors. The 38-year-old comedian joins a diverse cast that includes singer Leigh-Anne Pinnock, comedian Rob Beckett, and Love Island host Maya Jama, among others, for this game of intrigue and betrayal set to air later this year.
Despite his apprehensions, Lycett expressed delight at how well he connected with the other participants. Speaking on Hits Radio, he mentioned that he was surprised to find camaraderie with the cast, including his favorite, comedienne Joanne McNally.
Lycett was so excited about joining the show that he broke the rules of a non-disclosure agreement (NDA) by sharing the news with numerous people, even Uber drivers. He humorously recounted how his enthusiasm made him forget the confidentiality of his participation.
Joanne McNally also faced a filming rule breach; she was caught vaping while having a deep conversation with Lyctt, forgetting that the cameras were rolling. She reflected on her surprise at how easy it was to forget the presence of cameras, contrasting her previous assumptions from watching reality TV.
