Carolina Renaissance Festival Returns for 33rd Season
HUNTERSVILLE – The Carolina Renaissance Festival kicks off its 33rd annual season with exciting new attractions alongside favorite traditions. This vibrant festival combines imagination and history within a 25-acre outdoor village located just north of Charlotte. The gates open on Saturday, October 3, continuing for eight weekends until November 22.
Visitors can enjoy a European-style country fair featuring interactive theater, circus performances, fairies, dragons, mermaids, falconry, music, dance, and jousting tournaments held daily.
New Attractions This Year Include:
- Cirque Du Sewer!: A daring show featuring world-record stunts performed by trained cats, trained rats, and semi-trained humans.
- Blades & Bravery! (Oct. 3-4 and 10-11): An exhilarating stunt show filled with knife-throwing and the notorious Spinning Wheel of Destiny.
- Gabs the Fool! (Oct. 17-18 and 24-25): A silent jester incorporating physical comedy and audience interaction.
Returning favorites include Tiny Girl’s acrobatics and magic (Oct. 31-Nov. 1 and Nov. 7-8) and The Lynx Show with sword swallowing and magical feats (Nov. 14-15 and 21-22).
The festival also features a marketplace showcasing artisans in various crafts like weaving, glassblowing, blacksmithing, and candlemaking, complemented by games, rides, food, and drink.

Job Fair Announcement
Job Fair Date: The Carolina Renaissance Festival will host a job fair on September 12 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the festival grounds (16445 Poplar Tent Road).
The festival seeks around 350 seasonal employees for various roles, offering wages between $14 to $18 per hour along with complimentary festival admission for friends and family.
