Wyoming’s Energy Future Symposium

The University of Wyoming School of Energy Resources (SER) and the Wold Foundation will host a joint symposium on Thursday, Oct. 22, focusing on the state’s energy future, particularly critical minerals in energy industries.

The free event invites industry experts and academic leaders to discuss:

  • Integration of traditional oil, gas, and coal infrastructure with mineral extraction operations.
  • Emerging areas like advanced nuclear power and the growth of data centers.

Keynote Address

Governor Mark Gordon will deliver the keynote speech.

Conference Leadership

John Kaszuba, SER professor of geology and geophysics, emphasizes the symposium’s role in fostering collaborative dialogue to promote energy education throughout Wyoming.

Student Involvement

Students will showcase energy-related poster projects, with top submissions receiving cash prizes from the Wold Foundation.
