Miami-Dade Animal Services Seeks Forever Home for Mama

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY, Fla — A sweet, timid dog named Mama is hoping to find a family to call her own after spending several months at Miami-Dade County Animal Services.
Mama came to the shelter as a stray and appears to have recently had puppies, which were sadly never found. Despite being young—likely under two years old—Mama has been repeatedly overlooked.
Shelter staff describe Mama as extremely sweet. She just needs some patience and time to feel comfortable. While she was nervous in the car and the unfamiliar TV studio, her tail kept wagging whenever she saw someone.
Fostering Mama could be a great option for someone who wants to give her a chance to blossom in a calm home environment.
But Mama isn’t the only dog looking for a family. Amos, a larger adult dog who has also been at the shelter for months, is waiting for his chance, too. The message from Animal Services is clear: don’t overlook adult or larger dogs—they can be wonderful companions with the right home and a little love.
