4A Games has officially announced the release date for Metro 2039, which is shaping up to be one of the most anticipated games of 2027. The post-apocalyptic first-person shooter has garnered significant attention since its full reveal earlier this year, especially after a strong showing at Gamescom.
Metro 2039 is Coming February 4th
The game will be available on Xbox, PlayStation 5, and PC on February 4, 2027. This announcement came during the State of Play showcase, which revealed a new trailer featuring console gameplay for the first time. The trailer showcased impressive visuals, intense combat, and deeper lore, culminating in the big announcement of the release date.
Metro 2039 has already accumulated almost two million wishlists globally, reflecting the excitement surrounding the game. After its hands-on experience at Gamescom, anticipation continues to build. Remarkably, this release is nearly eight years after Metro Exodus debuted in 2019.
