Sabrina Dhowre Elba Shines at the 70th BFI London Film Festival
Sabrina Dhowre Elba graced the launch of the 70th BFI London Film Festival at BFI Southbank in London, wearing an elegant ensemble designed by Matthieu Blazy from the Chanel Métiers d’Art 2026 collection.
Fashion Highlights
Elba opted for a stylish and comfortable look, consisting of a long-sleeve black knit top paired with slouchy trousers, exemplifying the quiet luxury aesthetic. She complemented her monochrome outfit with black ballet flats that added a touch of Y2K flair.
To introduce a pop of color, Elba wrapped a vibrant red Chanel piece around her waist, featuring the brand’s logo in shimmering detail, a nod to the Métiers d’Art collection. Accessorizing minimally, she chose delicate gold jewelry and a chic black top handle bag.
Behind the Collection
Creative director Matthieu Blazy described the Métiers d’Art collection as “very character-driven,” showcasing a blend of influences spanning from vintage styles, like the roaring ’20s beehive hairdos to ’80s power suits.
For the presentation, staged below 168 Bowery in NYC, the collection featured striking tweed jacket and skirt sets in handwoven leopard motifs, alongside silks that hinted at Gabrielle Chanel’s admiration for Astrakhan fur.
