Gulfport, Mississippi, is set to see significant growth in its shipbuilding sector as Gulf Ship announces a major expansion. The company will invest over $43 million to enhance its operations on Glascock Drive, which will generate approximately 121 new jobs. This initiative aims to increase production capacity and address the rising demand for both commercial and government vessels manufactured in the U.S.
Senator Roger Wicker highlighted this development, stating that such expansions demonstrate Mississippi’s leadership in the ongoing shipbuilding boom in America.
