Classics at the Latchis Screening: “A Streetcar Named Desire”

Join us for a screening of “A Streetcar Named Desire,” directed by Elia Kazan and featuring performances by Vivien Leigh, Marlon Brando, Kim Hunter, and Karl Malden. Based on Tennessee Williams’ Pulitzer Prize-winning play, this classic film explores the tensions between reality and illusion as Blanche DuBois arrives in New Orleans to live with her sister Stella and brother-in-law Stanley Kowalski.
The film garnered 12 Academy Award nominations, winning four Oscars, including Best Actress for Vivien Leigh and Best Supporting Actor for Karl Malden.
This event marks the fourth installment of the Classics at the Latchis series, which aims to bring timeless films back to the big screen. Previous screenings included “Casablanca,” “Now, Voyager,” and “Sunset Boulevard.”
