(JACKSON, NJ) — A joyous celebration of Spanish and Hispanic cultures will take place at the Jackson Branch of the Ocean County Library on Saturday, September 19, 2026. The event, featuring beautiful traditional costumes and Flamenco dance and music by the Alborada Spanish Dance Company, begins at 3:00 PM.
This performance honors Hispanic Heritage Month by showcasing the rich diversity of Spain’s dances and music. Alborada allows the audience to fully experience the breathtaking beauty of the culture through its various Spanish dance art forms.
Founded in 1965 by Maria Alba, the Alborada Spanish Dance Company was revitalized in 1980 under the direction of Alba and current Artistic Director Eva Lucena, who introduced new dancers and choreographers. As a nonprofit organization in New Jersey since September 1995, the Company reaches between 11,000 to 15,000 people annually through its programs.
This program is geared toward adults and seniors.
