Afro Plus Fest Makes a Comeback in the DMV to Honor Black Culture

The DMV is gearing up for a major celebration of Black culture, music, and community with the return of Afro Plus Fest this Labor Day weekend, now boasting a larger scale and a notable homecoming in Prince George’s County.

Event Details:

  • Location: Northwest Stadium Complex, Landover, Maryland
  • Attendance Projection: Up to 120,000, expanding from last year’s sold-out single-day event that drew 20,000.

  • A diverse lineup featuring headliners like Wizkid, Davido, Tems, and Lil Baby.
  • Beyond music, the festival will feature:
    • A carnival
    • An interactive basketball court
    • 125 food vendors
    • Art installations

  • Last year’s festival generated around $10 million in local economic impact, with projections for this year reaching $60 million.
