Pet Food Recall Warning for Pet Owners

PORTLAND, OR – Attention pet owners: a regional manufacturer, Northwest Naturals, has announced a recall affecting two of its products.

The recall was prompted by FDA testing that detected unsafe levels of salmonella and listeria in the affected items. The products include:

  • 2-lb bags of Frozen Chicken Recipe for Cats
  • 6-lb bags of Frozen Raw Diet for Dogs Chicken Recipe

Both products have a sell-by date of January 2028.

As of now, there have been no reported illnesses in pets that have consumed these foods. However, pets eating contaminated food may exhibit serious symptoms such as diarrhea, decreased appetite, and fever. Infected pets can also spread these diseases to other animals and humans.

If you have purchased these affected products, please return them to the store for a full refund.
