Pitt County Animal Services provides affordable rabies vaccinations for pets.

Low-Cost Rabies Vaccination Event for Pitt County Pet Owners

GREENVILLE, N.C. (WITN) – Pet owners in Pitt County can take advantage of a new low-cost rabies vaccination event. Pitt County Animal Services is now offering vaccinations for dogs and cats that are at least four months old, as required by North Carolina law.

  • Cost: Vaccinations are available for just $15.
  • Scheduling: Appointments can be made by calling (252) 902-1725 or via email at sherry.sheldon@pittcountync.gov.

Kimberly Mitchell, the director of the service, emphasized the importance of keeping pets vaccinated to ensure the health and safety of the community. She stated, “Our goal with this new service is to make rabies vaccinations more accessible to residents.”

It’s critical for pet owners to be aware that failing to have their pets properly vaccinated can result in a $100 civil penalty.
