OCI Energy and Arava Launch Construction on 347 MW Solar Initiative in Texas

OCI Energy has partnered with Arava Power to develop the 347 MW (DC) SunRoper Solar project in Wharton County, Texas. Groundbreaking for the project has commenced, and it is anticipated to begin commercial operations by December 2027. The energy generated will be supplied to a Fortune 100 company under a long-term power purchase agreement for the Houston area. The project is financed by ING and will be constructed by EPC contractor WHC, targeting the ERCOT market.
