Spotlight on Paul Victor and the World Choice Awards 2026
The University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee is home to numerous students making remarkable contributions both academically and within the community. One standout is Paul Victor, an Information Studies major with a passion for promoting creativity and inspiring others.
Paul’s Advice: “As a college student, I know firsthand that things aren’t always easy… My advice for other UWM students is to use what you’re learning in class right away instead of waiting for the perfect opportunity…”
In 2022, Victor launched the World Choice Awards™, a fan-driven awards initiative designed to allow people worldwide to recognize their favorite creators and artists. The process involves nominations, voting, and eventually announcing winners.
Paul’s Inspiration: “Seeing people from completely different countries come together… to celebrate their favorites is one of the many amazing things that keeps me going.”
The awards are supported by World Entertainment™, a platform highlighting emerging talent in the indie scene. Victor has also established the Stage and Screen Society at UWM, which encourages collaboration across diverse interests.
Rise in Popularity
Victor effectively uses his knowledge in Information Studies to grow the World Choice Awards. The organization has garnered significant attention, with nearly 75,000 website views and a thriving Instagram presence growing from 4,000 to nearly 14,000 followers.
Upcoming Winners
Looking ahead, Victor plans to involve local Milwaukee artists and creators in future awards, with winners receiving custom certificates designed by him.
Future Plans for World Entertainment
Victor seeks passionate students to help organize live events for World Entertainment™, focusing on those with creative skills or a knack for fostering community connections.
