ST. CLAIR COUNTY, Ala. — An Alabama man, Lance Michael Beck, has been charged with multiple counts of sexual abuse against a minor. To evade prosecution, he flew to Thailand. The charges include sexual torture, first-degree sodomy, first-degree rape, human trafficking, sexual abuse, and incest, all stemming from allegations of long-term abuse against a victim who was 8 or 9 years old when the abuse started.
The victim disclosed the abuse in July 2026, leading to a forensic interview where she detailed years of misconduct by Beck. After law enforcement executed a search warrant at Beck’s home on August 5, he was not found but communicated with officers via his doorbell camera. On August 10, attempts to contact him about the allegations were unsuccessful.
Beck traveled to Thailand, arriving at Phuket International Airport on August 25, with a flight itinerary connecting through Seoul, South Korea. Delta Airlines confirmed he had no return booked. Investigators found evidence of his presence in Thailand, including bank records and social media posts indicating he was in Phuket.
Beck is currently considered a fugitive, facing potential additional charges for flight to avoid prosecution.
