Osceola County Invests $5 Million in Arts and Culture
Osceola County, Florida, is committing $5 million to enhance arts and cultural facilities throughout the area. The Osceola County Board of County Commissioners has appointed United Arts of Central Florida to manage this funding over the next two years via the new Osceola County Cultural Facilities Grant Program.
This initiative is funded through Tourist Development Tax revenue and will support various capital projects at qualifying arts and cultural facilities. Eligible projects may include expansions, renovations, HVAC improvements, accessibility upgrades, and infrastructure repairs.
Facilities eligible for funding include publicly owned or nonprofit-operated museums, auditoriums, performing arts venues, historic sites, and other cultural attractions, provided they are located in Osceola County and open to the public.
Application Details:
- Open Dates: Applications are accepted from September 1 through October 16 at 11:59 p.m.
- Eligibility: Nonprofit organizations must be in good standing and have operated in Osceola County for a minimum of two years.
- Information Session: United Arts will host an applicant information session on September 8.
- Funding Decisions: Winners will be announced in January 2027.
