In a recent interview with ABC7, Jake was seen wearing what appeared to be a wedding band. This interview was significant as it was his first public appearance following the tragic deaths of his parents in December 2025, when they were fatally stabbed in their Brentwood home. His sister, Romy, discovered their bodies and his brother, Nick, has been charged in connection with the murders.
Jake expressed the emotional toll of losing his parents, sharing that he feels robbed of important life milestones. He reminisced about how his dad helped him navigate personal challenges and expressed gratitude that Maria had the chance to know his parents.
A pretrial hearing for Nick is scheduled for September 15, and he has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him.
