The Greater Cedar Rapids Community Foundation is hosting the Free for All: Linn County Arts & Culture Week from October 19-25. This event, which builds on previous Free Admission Days, allows residents and visitors to enjoy a variety of arts, history, music, theater, and cultural activities at no cost.
Fifteen local organizations are participating, including the African American Museum of Iowa, Cedar Rapids Museum of Art, and the National Czech & Slovak Museum & Library. Each organization will offer unique free experiences, such as songwriting, dance lessons, and pottery.
Joe Heitz, vice president of community impact at the Foundation, mentioned that removing admission fees has increased attendance and hopes this expanded week will further engage the community with local cultural offerings.
