Hello everyone,
After a refreshing long weekend spent with my parents, I dove back into my data exploration project. It turns out that councils across the UK, akin to US states, provide access to their spending data. I’ve managed to scrape and compile a staggering 105 million rows of information to analyze how public funds are allocated. Currently, I am developing a user-friendly ‘Apple Maps’-style platform that will allow people to sift through this wealth of data. Here’s a sneak peek at what it looks like:
This journey has also sparked my interest in various data-centric projects, fuelling my desire to create multiple products daily. I firmly believe that every idea, whether brilliant or flawed, deserves a chance to be realized. Therefore, I’m committed to increasing my output significantly.
One recent creation is a real-time status tracker for the tools I regularly use:
My goal is not to profit from these projects. Some will be whimsical, while others might offer genuine utility. The point is to get them out into the world. I intend to make all of them open-source so others can learn from and modify them, sharing my development process along the way.
Remember, the best way to hone your skills is to take action and build your ideas.

The emergence of AI civilizations within OpenAI? According to Dwarkesh, while they might not resemble a conventional civilization yet, they possess attributes of one. Chamath raises concerns that this framing could be used to challenge open-source models. Meanwhile, Ethan Mollick emphasizes the importance of agents recognizing when to seek human assistance.
