CPP Investments Commits ₹20.7 Billion to NIIF Infrastructure Fund II
MUMBAI, India, Aug. 31, 2026 — Canada Pension Plan Investment Board (CPP Investments) has announced a commitment of up to ₹20.7 billion (US$215 million) to the NIIF Infrastructure Fund II, managed by the National Investment and Infrastructure Fund Limited (NIIF), focusing on India’s infrastructure development.
NIIF was established in 2015 to attract private institutional investment for infrastructure growth in India. This commitment builds on CPP Investments’ existing strategic partnership with NIIF, which includes prior investments in NIIF’s inaugural infrastructure fund.
Investment Focus
Fund II aims to invest in infrastructure assets and platforms in India, targeting sectors poised to benefit from long-term trends such as urbanization, digitalization, and energy transition.
