Indonesian President Prabowo Subianto has stated that Jakarta will maintain a supportive business environment for Chinese enterprises and resist any negative influences aimed at creating discord. He expressed Indonesia’s openness to increased Chinese investment during a meeting with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi and Defense Minister Dong Jun.
Prabowo highlighted the desire to enhance comprehensive strategic cooperation with China across various sectors, including politics, economics, and technology. He mentioned his upcoming trip to Shenzhen for the APEC Economic Leaders’ Meeting in November, emphasizing the importance of strategic communication with China.
Wang Yi affirmed China’s role as a reliable partner in Indonesia’s development, stating that China is both capable and willing to assist Indonesia in leveraging its resources for growth and modernization. He stressed the importance of solidarity between the two nations, urging them to support one another and remain open to collaboration in the face of global challenges.
