Trison Wells Expands Operations in Walterboro, S.C.

WALTERBORO, S.C. (WCSC) — Trison Wells, a contract manufacturer of private-label cleaning products, is expanding its facility in Colleton County with a $3.37 million investment. This expansion will create 30 new jobs at their site on 1756 Industrial Road.

The company plans to enhance its production capabilities by installing a state-of-the-art liquid-fill production line, significantly increasing its capacity for producing various cleaning products, including laundry, household, personal, pet, and car care items.

Governor Henry McMaster praised South Carolina’s business-friendly environment, stating, “We are proud to congratulate the company on its expansion in Colleton County.” He emphasized the positive impact this will have on the local economy.

Trison Wells initially invested $1.2 million in 2022, creating 35 jobs. General Manager Jonathan Johnson expressed pride in the expansion, highlighting the local workforce’s talent and the support from Colleton County’s economic alliance as key to the project’s success.

Local leaders are optimistic about the expansion, noting the benefits for families in Colleton County. Chairman Scott Biering stated, “Their expansion means more local job opportunities for our workforce.”

According to Steve Murdaugh, chairman of the Southern Carolina Alliance, the expansion reflects the area’s strong workforce and pro-business climate.
