Griesson – de Beukelaer Announces $70 Million Investment in Madison County, Mississippi
Griesson – de Beukelaer, a family-owned German company with over 100 years of baking tradition, has made headlines with its recent decision to invest over $70 million in Madison County, Mississippi. This investment will bring 30 new jobs to the central Mississippi region.
The company, known for its cookies and snack products, is headquartered in Polch, Germany, and exports to over 40 countries worldwide, employing more than 2,000 people. Governor Tate Reeves praised the investment as a positive indication of the state’s business-friendly environment, highlighting Mississippi’s increasing recognition as an attractive location for international manufacturers.
Griesson – de Beukelaer plans to build a modern facility between 130,000 and 150,000 square feet in Madison, where it will produce cookies and snacks. Additionally, the company will acquire and renovate an existing facility in Gluckstadt, further enhancing its operations in the U.S.

The Mississippi Development Authority is supporting the project through the Mississippi Flexible Tax Incentive (MFLEX) program, with assistance from Madison County and its Economic Development Authority. Bill Cork, Executive Director of the MDA, remarked on the significance of foreign direct investment, stating that companies like Griesson – de Beukelaer recognize the long-term benefits that investing in Mississippi provides.
