Updated seats and cabin features enhance passenger experience
Porter Airlines is modernizing its De Havilland Dash 8-400 fleet with a comprehensive cabin refresh, introducing the latest generation of Expliseat’s TiSeat 2V—recognized as the lightest aircraft seat in its category. The upgrades aim to improve passenger comfort with new features including redesigned cushions, tray tables, and an integrated device holder. The first revamped aircraft are already operational, with the full fleet anticipated to be complete this fall.
The TiSeat 2V combines comfort with operational efficiency, featuring a lightweight design that helps reduce fuel consumption and CO₂ emissions. Additional cabin enhancements include LED mood lighting, reading lights, and new carpeting, aligning with Porter’s commitment to elevate the economy travel experience.

Porter operates 78-seat Dash 8-400s, maintaining legroom configurations of 30-32 inches, and ensures a two-by-two seat layout, eliminating middle seats. This cabin upgrade represents an ongoing collaboration with Expliseat to deliver innovative seating solutions.
