Jakarta, 23 July 2026 – PT Danantara Asset Management (“DAM”) has officially signed a Share Purchase Agreement for shares in PT Mandiri Manajemen Investasi (“MMI”), PT BRI Manajemen Investasi (“BRI MI”), PT BNI Asset Management (“BNI AM”), and PT PNM Investment Management (“PNM IM”). This agreement, signed on 22 July 2026, facilitates the transfer of control of these four state-owned investment management companies to DAM.

This strategic acquisition emphasizes DAM’s commitment to fortifying Indonesia’s investment management landscape, thus enhancing its global competitiveness. As of June 2026, the four companies collectively managed assets under management (“AUM”) exceeding IDR 170 trillion. He noted that “this consolidation will fortify governance and operational scale, enhancing investor confidence both domestically and globally.”

In the retail sector, the new entity plans to roll out thematic investment products and leverage the state-owned bank network to increase investment accessibility. The company also aims to bolster its institutional segment by diversifying its investor base and offering comprehensive investment solutions tailored to various local institutions.

Arief Budiman, President Director of BRI MI, described this merger as an opportunity to penetrate the retail market further, highlighting BRI MI’s AUM of IDR 52.61 trillion and its robust retail customer base.

Additionally, Ari Adil, President Director of BNI AM, stressed the importance of the merger for enhancing synergies in investment expertise and innovation. BNI AM’s AUM stands at IDR 29.59 trillion as of June 2026, positioning it as a critical player in the combined entity.
