Lite-On plans to invest $919 million in Texas.

Lite-On Technology Corp has announced a significant investment of US$919 million to establish a manufacturing facility in McKinney, Texas. Of this total, US$108.5 million will be allocated for acquiring factory buildings. The new site will cover over 650,000 square feet and support various manufacturing, operational, and engineering functions.

This investment aims to enhance Lite-On’s presence in North America and improve their responsiveness to customers and partners in the region, meeting a growing demand for AI infrastructure and energy-related applications. The project is expected to create at least 600 jobs and is one of the largest private investments in McKinney’s history.

Chairman Tom Soong emphasized that this milestone aligns with Lite-On’s global growth strategy and will create greater synergies across their operations. The McKinney facility will complement their existing operations in Plano, Texas, with production expected to begin soon.

Lite-On’s recent financial performance has shown a 21.4% increase in consolidated revenue quarter-on-quarter, totaling NT$52.71 billion (approximately US$1.64 billion), marking their highest quarterly revenue since 2018. The company remains optimistic about continued growth for the remainder of the year.
