A Family Adventure at CBeebies Land Hotel: Is It Worth the Hype?
Alton Towers has long been a favorite destination for families, and its CBeebies Land has delighted young visitors for years. Recently, we took a weekend trip to explore the CBeebies Land Hotel and experience the newly launched Bluey-themed rollercoaster.
Arrival and Atmosphere
Upon entering the CBeebies Land Hotel, it was clear this isn’t your typical hotel. The vibrant decor and interactive displays set the stage for a fun, family-friendly experience. Little Monster from Justin’s House greeted us at the reception, and my kids were immediately captivated by the lively atmosphere.
The hotel features an inviting coffee and bar area, alongside a stage where various activities, including shows with Bing and the Octonauts, take place throughout the day. It’s a space specifically designed not just for accommodation but for entertainment.
The Bluey Room Experience
One of the highlights of our stay was the Bluey-themed room, which played the show’s theme tune upon entry—an instant joy for my children. The room was charmingly adorned with characters from Bluey, and amenities such as a fridge and pull-out cot were thoroughly practical for family needs.
Sleeping arrangements included a cozy double bed for the parents, bunk beds for the kids, plus a handy pull-out bed. I also appreciated the innovative toilet design, which included a built-in potty, a thoughtful touch for families traveling with toddlers.
Dining at the Windmill Restaurant
We opted for breakfast at the hotel’s Windmill Restaurant, which offered a buffet selection including hot dishes, cereals, fruits, and pastries. While the breakfast was decent and got us fueled for a day at the park, I felt the allergen labeling could have been more prominent.
Exploring CBeebies Land
Post-breakfast, we headed to the park, starting with the much-anticipated Bluey the Ride. Although we managed a 30-minute wait, the lines later soared to 90 minutes. The rollercoaster was a hit, notably smooth for a kids’ ride.
Beyond Bluey, attractions like the Vroomster Zoom Ride and Hey Duggee Big Adventure Badge offered plenty of fun for children of varying heights. However, parents should be aware of height restrictions on certain rides, which may lead to some disappointment for younger children.
Value for Money
Overall, accommodations at the CBeebies Land Hotel can be on the pricier side, particularly during busy seasons, with themed rooms costing more. However, the unique experience and contentment it brings to children makes it worthwhile. Our stay not only created lasting memories but also sparked conversations about future visits.
