Danville City Council to evaluate $8 million investment in the old Morgan Olsen facility.

The city of Danville, Virginia, is considering an $8 million infrastructure investment in the former Morgan Olson building to attract potential employers and create hundreds of jobs. City leaders plan to build a new electrical substation and improve utilities to meet the demands of large industrial users. The facility has been vacant for a few months but has already attracted interest from multiple companies. City Manager Ken Larking emphasized that these developments could lead to high-paying jobs and increased tax revenue for the community, although no company has made a formal commitment yet. The upcoming City Council meeting will address the proposed investment.
