Chabad Early Childhood of the Shluchim Office has launched a new preschool resource titled “My First Kosher Cookbook,” a much-anticipated compilation of preschool-friendly recipes optimized for young children.

About Chabad Early Childhood

Chabad Early Childhood provides vital support to Chabad preschools globally through curriculum materials, teacher training, and other resources. According to Mrs. Rivky Baitelman, the Director, there’s a consistent demand from preschool directors for appropriate recipes for various settings, including preschools, camps, and Hebrew Schools.

Cookbook Features

  • Comprehensive Collection: The cookbook includes recipes for every Jewish holiday and a variety of wholesome, allergy-friendly options.
  • Kid-Friendly Design: Each ingredient features images to help preschoolers follow along independently during cooking activities.
  • Educator Tips: Additional guidance for teachers encourages engagement and development of key skills such as sequencing, measuring, problem-solving, language skills, and fine motor coordination.

Creator’s Insight

Compiled by Mrs. Mussie Gopin, a preschool teacher, the recipes aim to be simple and wholesome, reliably supporting the educational environment. Each recipe has been tested to ensure it promotes skills and confidence among children.
