T.I. Features Young Thug in New Song “The Weekend”
T.I. has collaborated with Young Thug for a fresh track titled “The Weekend,” celebrating their elevated status in the rap scene. This song will be featured on T.I.’s upcoming album, Dime Trap, set to release on October 5 via Epic Records/Grand Hustle.
Lyrics Highlights
In the track, T.I. reflects, “If you gon’ measure my bad more than you measure my good / Just think it coulda been worse – I could be dead in the hood.” His smooth delivery flows over a vibrant electric guitar backdrop. Young Thug contributes with his own verse and catchy auto-tuned hook, proclaiming, “It’s goin’ down every weekend / Malibu, top gone, everything for the weekend.”
T.I. premiered the song on Jimmy Kimmel Live! along with his recent collaboration with Meek Mill, “Jefe.” Both tracks, along with “Wraith” featuring Yo Gotti, are part of Dime Trap, an album T.I. has been developing since 2015.
Pop-Up Trap Music Museum
In addition to his musical endeavors, T.I. is co-curating the first-ever Pop-Up Trap Music Museum in Atlanta, starting September 30, which highlights notable trap artists like Young Jeezy, Gucci Mane, and 2 Chainz.
