Young Thug’s Attorney Highlights Rich Gang’s ‘Lifestyle’ Track in YSL Court Case

Young Thug’s YSL trial has seen some unexpected moments, including the playing of his hit song “Lifestyle” in court. On January 11, Day 18 of the trial, Thug’s lawyer Brian Steel played the 2014 Rich Gang track during the cross-examination of witness Trontavious “Tick” Stephens. This brought a mix of reactions from the co-defendants, while Young Thug maintained his composure.

Stephens, who has been on the witness stand multiple times, discussed his decision to accept a plea deal, citing the poor conditions at the Fulton County Jail and fears for his safety. When a photo of Young Thug making a hand gesture was shown, the prosecution suggested it was a gang sign, but Stephens clarified it was a nod to Thug’s collaboration with Gunna on “Pushin P.” This led to the defense playing the “Pushin P” music video in court.

Young Thug and his co-defendants face several serious charges, including violating Georgia’s RICO Act. The trial is expected to continue for several months, with proceedings on hold until January 22 due to delays.
