The Luxury Operator is Launching Dynamic Nutrition Coaching with Specialized Guidance Across 190+ Clubs
Amidst the fitness industry’s trend towards integrating artificial intelligence into nutrition guidance, Life Time is taking a distinct approach by expanding its team of human coaches.
The athletic country club chain is introducing Dynamic Nutrition Coaching in over 190 clubs, supported by a team of more than 500 nutrition coaches nationwide. This initiative adds to Life Time’s growing list of “Dynamic” services, which already includes Dynamic Personal Training and Dynamic Stretch.
Members will begin their journey with a complimentary consultation and personalized assessment. Subsequently, they will collaborate with a Life Time nutrition coach to develop a customized plan tailored to their needs. Many also start with the upscale operator’s metabolic assessments—both resting and active—allowing them to gain a clearer understanding of how their bodies utilize energy, as noted by Life Time. These assessments provide valuable insights into individual energy expenditure.

“While nutrition information is abundant, many individuals require a structured plan customized to their goals, lifestyle, and body,” stated Anika Christ, Senior Director of Life Time Health. “Without a clear baseline and adequate support and accountability, achieving lasting change can be challenging. Dynamic Nutrition Coaching equips members with personalized strategies and guidance aimed at producing real results.”
Dynamic Personal Training has also proven to be a significant revenue source for Life Time, generating “record-breaking” revenue in various clubs month after month, as noted by founder and CEO Bahram Akradi. The introduction of Dynamic Nutrition Coaching enhances the in-club experience, allowing members to seamlessly combine nutrition advice with Dynamic Personal Training and Dynamic Stretch services.
This service launch comes on the heels of a strong quarter for Life Time, accompanied by continued membership interest.
Despite the introduction of this new human-guided nutrition coaching, Life Time continues to embrace the use of AI. The operator has invested significantly in L.AI.C (pronounced “lay-see”), an AI companion developed in collaboration with Microsoft, which is integrated into LT Digital, the company’s complimentary app available to non-members. L.AI.C assists users by generating workouts, addressing health and wellness inquiries, recommending supplements, and directing users to classes.
Moreover, the need for Dynamic Nutrition Coaching aligns well with the increasing number of GLP-1 medication users, with one in eight adults currently utilizing weight loss medications. Akradi referred to these popular drugs as a “home run” for the fitness industry, emphasizing the importance of strength training and appropriate nutrition to mitigate muscle loss.
Life Time’s Miora clinic, focused on longevity, prescribes these medications in select locations and aims to expand this service to all Life Time clubs in the future.
In summary, Life Time is setting the stage for a comprehensive fitness experience by weaving together personalized nutrition coaching with cutting-edge technology and effective support systems. This commitment demonstrates their dedication to helping members achieve their health and wellness goals.
