In line with the Division’s vision to be “A University of Global Excellence in Research and Innovation for Sustainable Development,” I envision Research, Production, and Extension (RPE) as a division equipped with state-of-the-art facilities and staffed by seasoned and motivated researchers and innovation managers.
To enhance its research capabilities, the division must prioritize multidisciplinary and multi-institutional research initiatives. Strengthening connections between innovators and researchers and industry is essential. Additionally, digitizing processes within the division will significantly improve operational efficiency. Effective resource mobilization through grant proposals and consultancy bids, along with the commercialization of research outputs, is also necessary.
The University farms should aim to produce sufficient food to sustain the University Community while selling surplus to neighboring areas.
Furthermore, the division should play a pivotal role in the University’s internationalization by fostering collaborations with global organizations. We will enhance community outreach and technology transfer through various initiatives.
