Streamlining Workflows Before Deploying AI Tools: Insights from Prativa Mohapatra, Adobe India

India: A Rising Innovation Hub for Adobe

New Delhi: India has established itself as a pivotal innovation hub for Adobe, contributing nearly one-third of the company’s global innovation efforts. This includes the development of new Firefly AI capabilities that are spearheaded by teams based in India, according to a senior executive. Currently, Adobe employs around 8,000 individuals in the country.

In an interview with ET, Prativa Mohapatra, the Vice President and Managing Director of Adobe India, noted that businesses are increasingly focusing on change management solutions prior to implementing agentic AI tools. These solutions are empowering organizations to reimagine their workflows and employee processes to adapt to the transformative nature of agentic AI within the software sector.

According to Mohapatra, Adobe is witnessing growth beyond conventional sectors like banking and finance. Industries such as fashion, jewelry, and travel are finding multiple use cases to strengthen customer loyalty. “Younger demographics are driving the entire journey of discovering, engaging, and completing transactions online,” she shared.

“The challenge lies in how to implement (agentic AI) solutions in ways that have never been done before,” she stated. “This presents both a challenge and a significant opportunity for system integrators, leading them to partner with us.”

Adobe offers a wide range of digital marketing and customer experience management (CXM) solutions.

Conclusion

As Adobe continues to leverage India’s innovative landscape, the collaboration between industries is likely to thrive. This partnership not only focuses on enhancing digital solutions but also on addressing the evolving needs of a younger, tech-savvy population.
