Meta Platforms has launched Ads AI Connectors in open beta, enabling advertisers and agencies to oversee their campaigns using the AI tools they are already familiar with. This innovative feature aims to simplify the advertising process and enhance efficiency.
These connectors have been specifically designed to remove the complexities associated with developer credentials, API integrations, or any coding requirements. They allow ad accounts to connect directly to AI agents via Meta’s ads model context protocol (MCP) server and a command line interface (CLI).
In announcing the rollout, the company expressed its commitment to allowing advertisers to operate within their current environments instead of fully transitioning to Ads Manager. “Meta ads AI connectors, which include the MCP server and ads CLI, offer advertisers a secure, authenticated connection to an AI agent from their ad account,” the company stated.

According to Meta, the system provides access to authentic campaign performance data, including ad creation workflows, product catalog management, and audience insights. The outputs generated through these integrations are based on real campaign data rather than generalized suggestions, enhancing accuracy and relevance.
These connectors cater to various use cases within campaign workflows. Advertisers can create detailed performance reports, use natural language prompts for campaign creation and editing, manage product catalogs, troubleshoot feed issues, and access diagnostics to assess data quality and prioritize enhancements.
Meta emphasized that the onboarding process is designed to be swift, with setup using the MCP completed in just minutes, eliminating the need for backend development work.

This launch builds upon the existing Meta AI business assistant within Ads Manager. While the assistant focuses on in-platform guidance, issue resolution, and campaign recommendations, the new connectors extend capabilities to external AI tools, facilitating cross-channel insights and custom workflows.
The company positioned this development as part of a broader evolution in how advertisers engage with its systems. “Meta ads AI connectors are the next step in our partnership with advertisers and agencies, meeting you using the tools you already rely on, supported by the full intelligence of Meta’s ads system in every interaction,” it said.
