Nutrition International is on the lookout for a skilled consultant to document the valuable lessons learned from Pakistan’s extensive food fortification initiatives. This consultancy offers an excellent chance for seasoned professionals in public health and nutrition to contribute to meaningful knowledge resources that advance global nutrition efforts.

Background

For more than 20 years, Nutrition International has partnered with the Government of Pakistan to both implement and strengthen large-scale food fortification programs. These initiatives aim to enrich staple foods such as edible oil, salt, and wheat flour, thereby combating prevalent micronutrient deficiencies.

With backing from international donors including Global Affairs Canada and the Gates Foundation, the organization continues to provide essential technical and operational support to both public and private sector stakeholders. As these programs grow, there is an increasing need for careful documentation of successes, challenges, and lessons learned to guide future interventions.

The objective is to synthesize findings regarding the effectiveness, challenges, and overall impact of the LSFF initiatives.

2. Stakeholder Engagement

Regular consultations with the project team will be an essential aspect of the assignment. The consultant will arrange at least two meetings per month with designated points of contact to refine content, discuss progress, and resolve challenges.
