In recent months, I’ve discovered that I’ve written more “How-To” posts than I initially realized. One reason I enjoy crafting these posts is that you seem to enjoy reading them just as much as I enjoy writing them.
Lately, my schedule has been incredibly busy, making it difficult to publish a post I had planned for today (I just couldn’t find the time to finish it!). To make matters worse, our furnace broke down, leaving me without heat! Anyone who knows me understands that I am perpetually cold. I often get teased at work for wearing a blanket scarf at my desk, and if I could, I would probably bring an electric blanket to the office during winter. Thankfully, our furnace is being repaired right now. However, I find it challenging to concentrate when I’m cold—it’s quite the distraction. This morning, as we noted the heating was out, I was wandering around the house confused about the day of the week, all while thinking, “I’m so cold I can’t bear this… wait, is today Wednesday?” My husband insists I’m overreacting (after all, it’s almost 60 degrees outside), but when I’m cold, it affects my ability to function. Nevertheless, despite being swamped with work and the typical challenges of homeownership, I feel a deep sense of gratitude. At this moment, I especially appreciate our fireplace and little electric heater; without them, I probably wouldn’t have had the motivation to get out of bed this morning.
Now, let’s return to the blog! My “How-To” posts consistently receive fantastic feedback from you all, which is why I’m excited to share a collection of my most-loved “How-To” articles.
