Justine Medina Competes for Ms. Health and Fitness Title 2023

Justine Medina, a devoted mom and educator from SouthCoast, is making waves in the fitness community as she competes for the title of Ms. Health & Fitness.

“I stumbled upon the contest while scrolling through social media and thought, why not give it a try?” she shared.

Making Strides on a National Stage

With over 33,000 women participating, Medina has successfully advanced to the quarterfinals of this national contest.

“Winning the Ms. Health and Fitness title would be a dream come true for me,” Medina expressed. “I’ve always wanted to motivate both children and adults to lead happier, healthier lives.”

If she secures the title, she will not only grace the cover of HERS magazine but also receive $20,000. “I plan to invest that in my dream of opening a women’s fitness studio designed for women of all ages, shapes, and sizes,” Medina revealed.

Justine Medina’s Fitness Transformation

Medina began her fitness journey nearly a decade ago, but it truly took off during the pandemic. “At that time, I was a principal in New Bedford, and many staff members were sharing how inactive they had become,” she noted.

“People were gaining weight, feeling down, and adjusting to sudden lifestyle changes,” she recounted. “Recognizing a weight loss challenge in the community, I decided to rally 33 members of my staff, family, and friends to join me.”
