Adobe and NVIDIA Strengthen Partnership on Firefly and AI Tools

Adobe and NVIDIA have announced a significant enhancement of their partnership aimed at advancing artificial intelligence across various creative, marketing, and production workflows. This collaboration focuses on integrating Adobe’s software suite with NVIDIA’s computing capabilities, AI models, and development frameworks.

A key component of this partnership is the next generation of Adobe Firefly models. These models will leverage NVIDIA technologies, including CUDA-X and NeMo, as well as other libraries and open models. The primary goal is to enhance control and consistency in AI-generated content, especially for enterprise applications.

“Content creation is experiencing tremendous growth, and our partnership with NVIDIA embodies a shared vision to transform creative and marketing workflows through the power of AI,” stated Shantanu Narayen, Chair and CEO of Adobe. “As AI revolutionizes how marketing teams and media and entertainment studios operate, Adobe and NVIDIA will integrate our Firefly models and CUDA libraries into our applications, while also utilizing 3D digital twins for marketing and the Agent Toolkit and Nemotron within our agentic frameworks. This will result in high-quality, controllable, and enterprise-grade AI workflows for the future.”

NVIDIA describes this collaboration as a natural evolution of a long-standing relationship between the two firms.

“AI is empowering every industry to redefine the realm of possibility,” remarked Jensen Huang, Founder and CEO of NVIDIA. “For over 20 years, NVIDIA and Adobe have worked together to push the limits of design and creativity. Today, we are elevating that partnership by bringing our research and engineering teams together to enhance Adobe’s popular applications with NVIDIA CUDA and collaboratively develop cutting-edge foundation models that will redefine creativity and enhance customer experiences.”

Additionally, Adobe is investigating the application of NVIDIA’s Agent Toolkit and Nemotron models to support what it terms “agentic” workflows. These systems are designed to automate aspects of content creation, campaign management, and production, particularly in enterprise environments.

The partnership also aims to create a cloud-based platform for developing 3D digital twins of physical products. These digital replicas will serve as consistent visual assets across various marketing and commerce platforms. This system will utilize NVIDIA Omniverse technologies and OpenUSD standards to facilitate interoperability and real-time rendering.

Moreover, Adobe intends to integrate NVIDIA’s AI infrastructure into a variety of its products, including Acrobat, Photoshop, Premiere Pro, and Frame.io. This integration will support features like automated content generation, semantic search, and workflow management.

Adobe Firefly Foundry, which enables organizations to train AI models using proprietary datasets, is another area of focus. NVIDIA’s computing platform is expected to enhance the performance and scalability of these models, particularly for enterprise applications that demand careful control over intellectual property.

The partnership will also encompass the development of tools for developers and open-source systems, including NVIDIA NemoClaw and the OpenShell runtime, which are crafted to support the deployment of autonomous AI agents in secure settings.
