Summer has officially arrived, and I couldn’t be more excited! You might be surprised to hear that, given my aversion to sunbathing and beach outings, but trust me—there’s something magical about this season.
Why, you ask? Picture longer days filled with sunlight—ideal for capturing blog photos until as late as 5 PM! Warm evenings spent outdoors dining, sunshine streaming through an open car sunroof, and those refreshing rainstorms that revitalize everything around us. I look forward to relaxing poolside, catching up on my favorite magazines, and peacefully drifting off to sleep with the windows open. Summer truly has so much to adore.
And let’s not forget the fun accessories! I’ve recently developed a fondness for chokers, especially this faux leather choker (1) and this velvet option. I’m also loving this vegan leather wrap necklace (4), this red leather bolo (14), and this gold plaque choker. If you’re not into chokers, a light scarf (5) tied around the neck is a lovely alternative that many stylish bloggers are rocking.

Sunscreen is essential year-round, but especially during the summer when we spend more time outside. Some medications and skincare products can increase sun sensitivity, so be sure to check the labels. Currently, I’m using this one from Avene (10) as recommended by my dermatologist. In addition to applying SPF50 all over (not just my face), I never leave home without my sunglasses (6 here and 15 here) and a hat (9) when I know I’ll be outdoors for a while.
Staying hydrated is key for maintaining beautiful skin. I always carry my BKR water bottle (12)—it’s made from glass, features a silicone cover, and is BPA and phthalate-free.
I’ve been enjoying my Dogeared makeup bag (3), which makes for a fabulous summer accessory, especially if you have beach or weekend trips planned. It’s incredibly spacious.
