I initially thought I’d wear this cute top with cropped jeans and a pretty heel, but a) it’s too damn hot, b) how often do I really wear heels? and c) it’s too damn hot. Out of ideas yet? Nope. When I actually put it on and put together an outfit for my normal day-to-day summer schedule, this is what I came up with – a casual, maybe even sporty look, with sneakers and a backpack.
I make myself laugh, because when it comes to my style I usually start with some lofty idea (that usually involves heels) and then when I actually get around to trying it in real life, I end up dialing it back down a bit…just enough to be realistic. Back to casual town, Cams. You’re A MOM OF THREE. So then I just shrug, grab my cool sneaks and call it a day. BAM. Nothing ventured, nothing gained.
outfit
earrings: Nickel & Suede Etched Silver Gem Earrings – have been a huge fan of N&S earrings for a long time and they have a new style…pretty and fun! FYI: I usually wear the medium size in all of the other earring styles.
top: BP. Peplum Top – adorable and comfy. I wore a racerback bralette with it, fyi. I also really like the white option. TTS.

shorts: AEO Super Hi-Rise Shortie – these have zippers on the sides, which is a cool detail. A couple of reviews stated that they unzip themselves and I noticed that, too, but after wearing them a few times now I’ve found they don’t do it as easily now. I ordered one size up from my normal and they fit well.
sneakers: Golden Goose Superstar Sneaker – a new favorite. Did you catch my honest review on them? They are pricey, definitely. Worth a look and consideration, though!
backpack: Topshop Striped backpack – this bag is padded in the back and on the straps, so it is SUPER comfy to carry. I like to carry my laptop in this one, too. Fantastic backpack for everyday.
On the backpack topic, who’s already starting to think about back to school? I just ordered the kids backpacks (PB won)…and umm. I kind of hate it. Summer, don’t gooooo!
