Recently, the Onitsha Unit of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC) partnered with Lovebite Food and Beverages to bring joy to those in need. This initiative focused on offering support to vulnerable individuals, accident victims, and tricycle operators, showcasing the spirit of community and compassion.
Speaking prior to the distribution of cooked rice, drinks, and water, the Onitsha Unit Commander, ACC Godwin Odoh, highlighted that this gesture was a way to express gratitude to the personnel for their dedication during the recent holiday season, which ensured smooth traffic flow.
He stated, “Every year at the conclusion of Operation Zero, we take a moment to thank our officers for their hard work.”
“The Niger Bridge often creates significant traffic jams, but our team tackled the issue efficiently last year. All our staff were on duty, working tirelessly.”
“Thus, I considered it important to acknowledge their efforts, leading to this end-of-year celebration, which we also call our first quarter dubar, held in partnership with Chief Nwosu Innocent, the CEO of Lovebite Food and Beverages.”
“We are distributing food, cooked rice, water, and other essentials to spread goodwill and appreciation. We are here to share love with those in need,” he shared.
During the distribution events at various locations, the Public Relations Officer of the Onitsha Unit Command of FRSC, Kenechukwu Kingsley Chidoka, reported, “Around 1,000 individuals, including less privileged individuals, tricycle operators, and accident victims at Toronto Hospital, benefited from these donations.”
“We are grateful for the support from sponsors like Lovebite, as their contributions help us extend our outreach to those in need. It is heartwarming to witness the joy and gratitude from the recipients.”
In response, Chief Nwosu Innocent, the CEO of Lovebite Food and Beverages, expressed his contentment with the initiative, emphasizing that sharing is a fundamental aspect of love.
Chief Nwosu, represented by Mrs. Nnenna Okoronkwo, highlighted that Lovebite’s bread is cherished for its exceptional quality.
He affirmed that this outreach to the underprivileged would continue, as it aims to foster inclusivity for those who feel marginalized.
