UBX: Revolutionizing Traditional Gym Models in Boutique Fitness Studios

Revolutionizing Fitness: UBX’s New 24/7 Strength Zone

In the ever-evolving landscape of fitness, the battle between big-box gyms and boutique studios has taken an intriguing turn. UBX, a boxing and strength training franchise, has introduced an innovative approach that combines the best aspects of both worlds. As fitness enthusiasts seek community and flexibility, UBX is stepping up to meet their needs.

The Concept

UBX, cleverly pronounced “You-Box,” is launching a new model that integrates dedicated Strength Zones into its existing boxing and strength circuit offerings. This exciting change allows members to choose from a variety of workouts tailored to their schedules while enjoying the support and camaraderie of a community atmosphere.

The new 24/7 Strength Zone, with equipment ranging from barbells and cables to Smith machines, was successfully piloted at UBX Buderim in Australia. Franchisees Lee Brabin and Chinta Demasson have relocated to a larger facility specifically designed for this addition.

Enhanced Community Experience

Michael Jordan, the CEO of UBX, praised Brabin and Demasson, stating, “They have always set the gold standard for community and culture. It’s a natural fit for them to lead this pilot.” He added that the new model combines group training’s community energy with the convenience of a 24/7 gym and the personalized results of a personal training studio. This means members can fully customize their workout experience according to their preferences and schedules.

Future of Fitness Facilities

UBX envisions this model as the future of fitness club expansions. Alongside the new Strength Zone, they are upgrading their existing locations to focus more on strength training. They operate on a flexible start time model, offering a 45-minute, 12-round boxing and strength circuit that members can join whenever it suits them. Furthermore, participants have access to on-one-one coaching, while the UBX app enhances the experience with on-demand workouts, nutritional advice, and mindset content.

Having co-founded by four-time world champion boxer Danny Green and tech entrepreneur Tim West, UBX has already established more than 100 locations and has expanded internationally, with recent openings in the UAE, Japan, Singapore, and Connecticut.

Innovative Accessibility

UBX has been a trailblazer in providing extended access to its members, allowing them to train beyond staffed hours with the use of a membership tag. This approach aligns perfectly with the increasing demand for flexible workout schedules.

Interestingly, while UBX is expanding its strength training options, big-box gyms are also adapting to the growing popularity of strength training by creating boutique-style spaces within their larger facilities. Brands like The Edge Fitness Clubs and Chuze Fitness are dedicating specific rooms for strength training, catering to the same audience that UBX is attracting.

Conclusion

UBX’s introduction of the 24/7 Strength Zone marks a significant evolution in the fitness industry, merging community-centric training with individual flexibility. This innovative approach not only redefines the traditional gym experience but also empowers members to create their own unique workouts. As UBX continues to expand and adapt, it sets a compelling example for fitness enthusiasts seeking a supportive community, expert guidance, and the freedom to train on their own terms. Whether you’re drawn to boxing, strength training, or both, the future of fitness looks brighter and more accessible than ever.
