Beyoncé’s Cowboy Carter Tour Outfit Inspirations: Style Suggestions

When Beyoncé announced her ninth concert tour for her Grammy Award winning album Cowboy Carter, the frenzy that followed in my girls group chat was quite something to behold. My group successfully conquered the mind-numbing logistics of the Ticketmaster queue to secure tickets to London within 22 minutes. Now, she’s in London, the big question is: What do we wear to the Cowboy Carter tour?

Beyoncé’s American tour wardrobe included a throwback to the iconic Crazy in Love video with denim hotpants and a sparkling white vest and a pair of Loewe thigh high boots that were my personal favourite. For her arrival in London at Tottenham Hotspur stadium there were a flurry of new outfits. I attended the June 10th show, and Beyoncé was a sight to behold, there were four new outfits, along with the return of America Has A Problem newspaper print jumpsuit and the light up gown.

The London crowds swarmed the stadium in some incredible custom outfits, I went for a denim-on-denim look with a suede fringed jacket, one of my friends went for an all black look with furry chaps, and another handmade a top from paisley printed scarves which received lots of compliments.

This is the 15th time I’ve seen Bey, I’ve been on every tour (yes, including both On The Run tours with her husband Jay Z) and my bank balance has never been the same. This was the first time that I’d planned to dress to a concert theme, especially after seeing how incredible audiences looked decked out in silver at the Renaissance Tour in 2023 and all of the Swifties attending Taylor Swift’s Eras Tour.

My fellow Beyhive friends pulled out all the steps and jumped on board to wear looks in honour of Cowboy Carter and Beyoncé’s extensive career. It was difficult to decide whether to go full head-to-toe cowboy, double denim, Beyoncé Bowl all-white, or a Destiny’s Child girl band fit that even Tina Knowles would be proud of. There’s still time to get your outfit together for the rest of Beyoncé London shows or if you’re heading further afield to Paris. The British summer is being a bit unpredictable but after seeing all the costumes the London Beyhive fans put together you will want to be part of the experience.

Texas Hold ‘Em Cowboy

The most obvious Cowboy Carter tour outfit idea are the black cowboys that Beyoncé’s pays homage to, the Yee-Haw agenda that honours her Texan roots. The key items for a cowboy outfit include cowboy boots, cowboy hats, a plain white vest, brown or black suede jackets, fringe or tassels and don’t forget a paisley print bandana. If you’re bold enough, you could always grab a pair of chaps and claim you’re channeling Beyoncé’s smokin’ W Magazine cover.

Cowboy boots

If you’re still partial to a silver theme then go for the COS boots, but they’re selling out quick. Instead you can make a saving for on these New Look black and cream cowboy boots.

Zara

This knee high deep brown pair of boots from Zara stand out because of the low heel. You still achieve the western aesthetic with contrast topstitch and studs, without needing to worry too much about dancing all night after Queen Bey arrives on stage.

Ganni

I will take any excuse to put on a pair of silver cowboy boots. This pair from Ganni will elevate even the simplest Cowboy Carter costume. But be quick because the silver are selling quick.

If there’s one thing for certain it’s that black boots go with everything, and these Ganni dupes from Boohoo will save you a few coins.

H&M

The viral H&M blazer that keeps selling out, is a great choice that you can rewear after the Cowboy Carter Tour is over. Thrifty.

Massimo Dutti

Look, if there’s ever a time to fully invest in a theme it’s for Beyoncé, those are the rules. The western theme is featured in every major brand spring/summer collection, and I think this Massimo Dutti goatskin leather jacket might make it to the top of everyone’s shopping list. The crew neck and box fit are chef’s kiss.

White vest

H&M

I have bought so many of these white vests from H&M, they’re a wardrobe staple. Rip it in the cleavage to give it a rustic cowboy vibe.

I fear Beyonce’s American fans will outdo us when it comes to the Cowboy Carter costumes. So listen to me when I say subtlety isn’t really an option and this cheeky emoji Coperni vest will have you on the best dressed Rodeo Queen or King list.

Gymshark

If you don’t spend about 80% of your time outside of the office in gymwear then I applaud you. There’s no harm in adding to your gym collection with this Gymshark white tank.

Cowboy hat

Amazon

If you’re looking for an authentic cowboy hat then I suggest a Stetson, but if you know you’re never going to wear one ever again then this hat from Amazon that also comes with a paisley print bandana will be ideal.

Bershka

It’s shaping up to be a warm June, so bear in mind if you’re wearing a cowboy hat this straw one from Bershka may prevent your weave from getting a little less frizzy as you stomp your way through her three-hour set.

IVY PARK

If you want to be authentic to the Beyoncé brand, then delve into the IVY PARK archive. The Rodeo drop from 2021 featured a pair of adidas striped chaps that Bey modelled herself. You can bid for a pair on StockX and other listings have been popping up on eBay, so set up those alerts.

Don’t get caught out by the arena rules by taking a huge bag with you, switch all your essentials into this cute mini suede bag from Zara.

Cowboy theme doesn’t have to be so traditional either, we’re loving this look from fashion influencer Nthabiseng Marie who offered her interpretation for what to wear to Cowboy Carter with this all black, lace and fringe outfit with over the knee boots. The veil attached to the cowboy hat is a vibe.

Diva Denim Theme

Personally – and I think there’s a strong consensus among the Beyhive here – that denim on denim, on denim, on denim is the chicest and cheapest outfit idea for Cowboy Carter. Listen carefully to the lyrics of Levii’s Jeans and you hear Bey croon: “Give you high fashion in a simple white tee/Give you these blues, it’s in my jeans.”

The thing I like about the denim theme is, it’s easy to replicate a Cowboy Carter costume using clothes from my own wardrobe. All I need is a pair of my best jeans, whether that’s something like the sell-out jeans from M&S, paired with a simple white baby tee, or if I’m being on brand then a pair of Levi’s. I’ve also been browsing double denim outfit ideas, a denim waistcoat or denim jacket, or something cutesy like a fitted denim dress, with a bandana scarf as an accessory, not to mention adding a denim theme to my nail art set (above).

I’m also leaning more towards comfort (I’m a millennial after all), so definitely no heels higher than two inches and plenty of layers, because queuing on top of standing in General Admission? It’s going to be a long day, June weather in the UK is also not guaranteed, and I’m simply not brave enough to bare my ass in chaps, even if it’s for Queen Bey herself.

Ever since Kendrick’s Superbowl performance, bootcut jeans are on everyone’s lips. So if you’re going to buy Levi’s jeans, I suggest you go for this classic fit.

These boyfriend Levi jeans are super comfortable and can be turned up so those shorter Beyhive fans don’t need to worry about them trailing on the dirty Tottenham Stadium floor.

If I need a basic item Uniqlo will always be my first stop. This mini t-shirt has a slightly looser fit but still with the on-trend cropped length.

Denim waistcoat

As the model proves light wash denim goes really well with cream or white denim, so if you’re after a mix and match this Nobody’s Child waistcoat will see you through the rest of summer after Cowboy Carter leaves town.

Beyonce Bowl: All White Rodeo

If Netflix’s Beyoncé Bowl was any indication of what Mrs Carter deems a suitably glamorous outfit for the Cowboy Carter tour, then it’s an all-white rodeo ensemble. Bey and her dancers were decked out in white and crystal embellished bodysuits, furry chaps, chunky belt buckles and white cowboy hats. Blue Ivy’s outfit might be a little easier to replicate, Beyoncé’s first-born wore a white bustier, white jeans, white cowboy hat and the red, white and blue sash from the Cowboy Carter album cover – along with a mother-daughter matching silver belt buckle.

White bodysuit

Zara are my go to for bodysuits, long sleeve or short sleeve there are also a variety of colours too.

Good American/Reiss

A square neckline gives immediate western style energy. Good American will have you right and tight in this bodysuit, pair with your jeans and layer your denim jacket.

Wolford / Net a Porter

Wolford make the best tights, but their base layers are soft and luxurious. This lightweight body with elbow-lenth sleeves is the ideal inbetween if you don’t want to carry a jacket but want to cover your arms.
