Nitrogen, a leading provider of advisor software, recently unveiled the launch of Nucleus, a sophisticated AI engine integrated into its platform. This announcement was made during the Winter 2026 product release keynote at the Fearless Investing Summit, where the company also showcased enhanced AI-powered tax planning tools.
Based in Auburn, California, Nitrogen describes Nucleus as a dynamic, workflow-driven AI solution embedded within its advisor platform, rather than a traditional standalone chatbot. This innovative engine is designed to assist advisors before, during, and after client meetings. With Nucleus, advisors can efficiently perform various tasks—including establishing risk targets, distributing risk questionnaires, transforming statements into portfolios, creating retirement income maps, drafting proposals, and preparing meeting notes—all within a single client profile.
Unlike external AI assistants, Nucleus functions within Nitrogen’s secure data environment, allowing advisors to maintain oversight by approving actions before they are carried out. The system adheres to SOC 2 and ISO-42001 compliance standards, reflecting over a decade of investments in data security.
In tandem with the Nucleus launch, Nitrogen introduced several enhancements across its product suite aimed at improving efficiency and communication clarity during client conversations.
Within its tax planning product, Tax Center, two new Report Elements were added to Reports Builder. The Tax Snapshot Report Element enables advisors to create visually engaging, client-ready PDF summaries of tax data. The Tax Transition Report Element illustrates the tax implications of transitioning from a current portfolio to a proposed one, helping advisors contextualize risk alignment decisions alongside tax considerations. Additionally, Nitrogen previewed an upcoming Roth Conversion Calculator, set to launch next month.
Nitrogen also rolled out Premium Statement Capture—a $49-per-month, human-verified service that enhances its AI-driven statement conversion process. Advisors can upload a PDF and receive a verified, ready-to-use portfolio without needing to perform final data entry steps themselves.
The Income Center, previously known as Planning Center, has been updated to include Stress Tests that simulate real-world market events relevant to retirement income planning. These simulations empower advisors to showcase how guaranteed income sources, like annuities, can help secure retirement plans against unfavorable market conditions.
Performance enhancements were also announced for the Research Center, Nitrogen’s investment research product. The platform now accommodates portfolios three times larger, with load speeds improved by over 3.5 times, allowing advisors to tackle complex investment queries during meetings in real-time.
Nucleus will be accessible to all Nitrogen users currently on active plans at no extra charge, with beta access available immediately for attendees of the Fearless Investing Summit.
Trusted by over 30,000 advisors, Nitrogen boasts an industry-leading Net Promoter Score of 71.
