L’Oréal is venturing into the nutricosmetics sector with the introduction of a new collagen supplement under its Vichy Laboratoires brand.
The Liftactiv Collagen Supplements represent Vichy Laboratoires’ inaugural foray into nutricosmetics. These daily dietary supplements are designed for both men and women, aiming to enhance overall health while promoting collagen synthesis.
This launch marks a significant milestone for the French dermocosmetics brand, expanding its expertise beyond topical skincare to offer a clinically validated approach that integrates beauty and health, effectively bridging the gap between dermatology and nutrition.
“This reflects how our understanding of beauty has matured,” Vincent Chauvière, Global Brand President of Vichy Laboratoires, explained to Cosmetics Business.
“For over 90 years, we’ve refined what you apply to your skin and scalp. However, we have now reached a stage where we recognize that topical creams are just one piece of the puzzle.
“Today’s consumers are seeking a holistic approach; they want to address the root causes rather than just surface issues.
“After more than a decade of research into collagen, we believe that the timing is perfect to introduce this product.”
