Last night, Bad Bunny made history at the Super Bowl, reportedly drawing an astonishing 135 million viewers—the highest number for a halftime performance in the event’s history. Amid the lively dancers, sugar cane plants, and celebrity cameos, I was pleasantly surprised to see Lady Gaga delivering a joyful performance of her hit song, “Die with a Smile,” highlighted by a striking ruby red lip—an alluring look I can’t wait to replicate this Valentine’s Day.

Gaga graced the stage in a stunning powder blue Luar dress designed by Dominican, Brooklyn-based designer Raul Lopez, accented with a flor de maga brooch (the national flower of Puerto Rico). Her ensemble reeked of symbolism, respect, and exquisite grace. Her luscious red lip tied her tropical outfit together beautifully, although I don’t yet have the exact details of her lipstick. However, I’m on the hunt and suspect the makeup brand Haus Labs could provide the key.
Recreate Lady Gaga’s Super Bowl Red Lip
Gaga collaborated with her long-time makeup artist and Haus Labs global artistry director, Sarah Tanno, to create her captivating “Benito Bowl” look. While Tanno hasn’t disclosed her exact recipe for the shiny lip, these Haus Labs products appear to be key players.

Haus Labs
Le Monster Lip Crayon Vegan Lipstick and Lip Liner in Scarlet Matte
This lip color is more akin to apple red than oxblood. I suspect the artist opted for this same product in the classic cherry shade Scarlet Matte for extra brightness. Blending the creamy, lightweight formula into the deeper liner creates a 3D effect, making the lips appear fuller and more prominent—especially with her trendy bleached brows.
Haus Labs
Color Fuse Longwear Hydrating Glassy Lip + Cheek Blush Balm Stick in Glossy Watermelon
Upon closer inspection, you can see a luscious shine on Gaga’s scarlet lips. My speculation is that Tanno used a generous layer of Haus Labs’ Color Fuse Lip + Cheek Blush Balm Stick in the shade Glassy Watermelon to heighten the glossy effect on her lips.
Haus Labs
PhD Hybrid Hydrating Tinted Lip Oil in Primary
While it may feel like product overload, there’s no denying the hydrating elixir that is Haus Labs’ PhD Hybrid Hydrating Tinted Lip Oil. According to Tanno’s TikTok, the star also wore the clementine shade Secondary with the Le Monster Lip Crayon at the Grammys, making me believe she might also choose the cherry shade Primary for her glossy finish. A few gentle swipes to the center of her lips would enhance that already-glossy look.
For those wanting to recreate her dimensional look ahead of Valentine’s Day, I have additional red lip recommendations. Check out Who What Wear’s editor-favorite lipsticks, glosses, and more starting from just $6.
