As fashion month approaches, anticipation grows for the latest runway collections and street style photos. For those of us in the fashion industry, witnessing the outfits worn by seasoned veterans often defines our own style choices for the upcoming season. With fashion month just around the corner, I’m excited to see what trends and pieces the Who What Wear editors will sport this season.
Ahead, our fashion editors reveal a preview of the exciting brands, 2026 trends, and standout pieces they are eager to wear from New York to London during the fall/winter 2026 shows. Based on their selections, high-impact outerwear, versatile bags, and unique vintage pieces are set to dominate the street style scene this season—discover all their recommendations here.
This season has me inspired to incorporate a statement belt into my outfits. Brands like Celine, Dior, and Ralph Lauren are releasing fantastic styles that can elevate even the simplest outfits.
When September rolls around and temperatures are comfortable during fashion week, my outfit choices feel much more adventurous. However, as February approaches, where temperatures can plummet between 10ºF and 30ºF, I gravitate towards practicality. My goal is to remain warm while still aiming to look presentable. One outfit I plan to showcase this season features a look from Prada‘s F/W 23 collection. This ensemble consists of an oversized down jacket along with a matching column skirt, primed for a stunning debut. Additionally, I acquired a chic black suede coat with pony-hair accents from Allegra Vintij at the Manhattan Vintage Show, which I’ll layer over a navy blue silk minidress paired with tailored black trousers from Colleen Allen. I love to mix my more evening-oriented minidresses with daytime trousers for a fresher look. To complete my outfits, I’ll be relying on a The Row Marlo bag that perfectly accommodates my laptop—essential for my hectic NYFW schedule.
As we dive deep into the current fashion season, it’s clear that coats will play a pivotal role in my wardrobe. I plan on making a statement with my faux-fur coats, selecting pieces that pair effortlessly with my entire outfit. My approach for this season leans towards a monochromatic color scheme that focuses on the separate elements that align with the hues of the coats I choose—think all-cream or rich chocolate-brown ensembles.
