Jeremy Allen White Absents Himself from the Emmys Once Again
Tonight, Jeremy Allen White skipped the Emmys for the second consecutive year, despite his FX culinary series, The Bear, receiving eight nominations, including Outstanding Comedy Series. Last year, his absence was attributed to a friend’s wedding, but the reason for his absence this year remains unclear.
This marks the first time in four years that White has not been nominated for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Comedy Series for his role as Carmen “Carmy” Berzatto in The Bear. He won consecutive awards for this role in 2023 and 2024, and was nominated last year, but the award went to Seth Rogen for The Studio.
As he steps into promotions for his new drama film, The Social Reckoning, set to release on October 9, White’s past attire choices for the Emmys have typically leaned towards classic looks. He wore a Calvin Klein tuxedo in 2024 and a stylish black-and-white suit from Giorgio Armani the year prior.
Although White was not present, several co-stars, including Ayo Edebiri and Matty Matheson, attended and made appearances at the 78th annual Emmys.
